ASH GIZ , MEP Project Launch

Africa Skills Hub in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), is implementing the Migration and Employment Promotion project.

The partnership seeks to provide technical and vocational skills training for returned migrants and unemployed youth in the Volta Region specifically in the North Tongu District so they can engage in entrepreneurial ventures.

Sixty (60) returned migrants and unemployed youth from North Tongu District are expected to benefit directly from this project as they receive training in Tailoring, Hairdressing & ICT (Graphic Design). They will also get subsequent in-kind support to start a business and coaching to re-establish themselves in the communities with a focus on sustainable employment. Additionally, the intervention will provide entrepreneurship capacity-building training for five hundred (500) indirect beneficiaries in the Volta region to help them start and or re-vamp their businesses however small.

The media launch for the project will take place at the Best Care Hotel, Battor (Opp. North Tongu District Assembly) on Wednesday, 3rd August 2022 at 11 am GMT.
